You know what it is to have a friend who regularly forwards to you emails s/he receives, right? For example, my friend recently sent me this:

"Pour some lukewarm water over it."
My friend is also a political activist of sorts, forwarding to me information about how people are streaming from Florida because of a recently passed law requiring drug testing and being drug free before a person can receive state welfare. The email goes:
Gov. Rick Scott said, "If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free."
Applicants must pay for the drug test, but are reimbursed if they test drug-free. Applicants who test positive for illicit substances, won't be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment. Those who fail a second time will be banned from receiving funds for three years!
Of course, the email begins with
Many nations in the European Union and also in the Americas have massive numbers of people who are on the welfare dole. They do not work nor do they seek work. Why should they? They get free money, free food, free cell phones, free housing. With all that coming in they can obtain credit cards. More "free" money with which to buy all the wonderful things this country imports. (I almost wrote "provides" but there is more manufacturing in China, India and Thailand than in the USA, it seems.) Since there is nothing to do all day, drugs help pass the time and they are easy to get, so why not?
Those persons are also trapped in the socialistic mind-set of "Let the government take care of me, I deserve it". They are also taught that it is good to tax the "rich" business owners who "rip-off" the poor working wo/man. Trapped as they are in the thinking that big government has all the answers and solutions to the nation's problems, they turn off their God-given powers of imagination and creation. That abdication of personal rights and powers is the greatest loss to this and every nation that any nation can sustain.
How do people get trapped into such thinking? How does a nation of people become so "dumbed-down" as to think that a set of "smarter" people in government positions can take better care of them than they can take care of themselves?
Easy. Free food.Free cell phones, free housing, free money, free drugs.
My email forwarding friends sent me the following just yesterday:
Wild Pigs
There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class.
One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt. The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new regime.
In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked: "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"
The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again.
You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America. The government keeps pushing toward Socialism(Communism) and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops, welfare, and the latest Affordable Health Care while the people continually lose freedoms, just a little at a time.
If you see that all of the wonderful government "help" is a problem confronting the future ofdemocracy a Representative Republic in America, you
might want to discuss this with your friends.
But, God help us all when the gate slams shut!
In order to NOT get slammed in the same pen I write this to you, my dear Reader:
PEOPLE MUST BE CONVINCED OF OUR TRUE NATURE BEING CHILDREN OF A GREAT, LOVING CREATOR. The animals -- the monkeys, apes, birds, whales and pigs, etc -- are mere creations made to use the earth and provide for the needs of mankind, nothing more. MANKIND IS NOT THE PROGENY OF ANIMALS. MANKIND IS THE OFFSPRING OF THE GREAT CREATOR.
I'll not get into religion here other than to urge you, Dear Reader, to acknowledge your own inheritance as a child of God. You have within you the strength to accomplish great things because of who and what you are and Who is on your side if you are on the side of Goodness, Love, Mercy, Truth and Justice. These are 5 points that delineate Godly attributes. Follow these 5 points in your life and you will find great power within you and great power being drawn to you and you will be able to achieve great things.
Please do not be trapped like wild pigs feeding on free corn.
Being FREE is your inheritance and right from God, your Heavenly Father, and His Son, our Redeemer (who guarantees we can all get back Home when our turn on earth is ended).
Remaining free is our continual task and labor for there are those who want to control your freedom for the sake of power and wealth.
Passing freedom and liberty to our children and great-grandchildren is our right and responsibility.
As Children of the Great Providential Creator of all that is in Heaven and Earth, we have the rights, the power and the responsibilities to maintain freedom and liberty and pass those forward to our posterity.
LET US DO OUR DUTY as men and women, Children of Power.
LET US WORK, TEACH AND URGE OUR CHILDREN TO DO THE SAME.
